I admit that I get Lion Brand’s newsletter. I signed up for it through registering for their site in hopes of getting a hold of something I was interested in.
I mostly ignore the newsletters. I do admit to clicking on one around Christmas time when they advertised a very cute knitted Santa hat in various sizes (that I considered making and realized that no one would wear so why bother?)
Anyhow, upon Martha Stewart’s release I got a very excited e-mail from Lion Brand about her poncho! They were WORKING on that Patten! Blah blah blah.
The pattern links showed up today.
The poncho is okay. Not as good as some that I’ve seen circulating around the web. I wouldn’t wear it personally, but I’ve seen very few ponchos that I would consider if I were not overweight (which, IMO, would make me look like a very dumpy something or other).
I simpley don’t understand the fervor.
I think Martha has great ideas. I’ve read her magazine and watched her show and even use some of her products. I’ve never had a problem with that, but really? All that? Over a poncho? And not even a CUTE one?
I don’t get it.
Knitting process on jelly bean striped sock has stalled. It’s in the car and I am unmotivated to go after it.
